sketchup model of dining table and elevators

Dining/Meeting Table
this dining/meeting table represents how both Steve Jobs and Zhang Yin's power came to be. notice how the edges of the tables both open up towards the middle. this represents how both clients started out from being 'unprivileged' and having not much 'power'. through opening up, it suggests how each client's power increases and become vast. this also can symbolise how their investments in things were initially 'small' but over time, was able to grow to make them to what they are now. another point to highlight is that through the characters walking towards the middle, it can show their jouney from this 'outer' stage to the inner stage with ultimately shows their progression. the round table in the middle can represent their equalness in power, they are both patient and have a savvy for knowledge. through their patience, their investments were able to grow quite considerably to gain them this power. also, the round table can also reflect on the 'world', here, we can say that the two clients can exchange their ideas in order to 'change' the world and how it functions, suggesting their power in revolutionizing the world functions. the decoration in the middle simply represents their growth and power as it continues to 'stack up'.

Jobs Elevator
this represents the innovation of Steve Jobs and also highlighting his contemporary designs within his products that are well known to the world. the design here is quite simple, but also symbolises things to do with Jobs' power. the window slot on the top of the 'arch' represents his 'foresight' in trying to improve existing products for consumers around the world. here we can say that he is trying to keep innovating and 'looking forward' for what the world can have. the divider in the middle can also show the two sides in the way he can use his power or rather, thinking. through loking at both sides, he has two views and therefore, is able to use his power to consider other aspects rather than just the one. the 'arch shape' shelter actually reflects his space, in that he tends to individualize himself and consumers through his products such as the ipod. the shelter represents the 'hermit' world in which he bases his products around in that we as his consumers use the ipod so that we are 'in our own world'.

Zhang Yin's Elevator
this represents the power through reusing used materials and making something positive out of it. here we can see the elevaor is made up of the same 't' forms in her environment. through doing this, Zhang Yin uses the same structure to help her get across to the meeting place. the large holes in the elevator also suggests her 'foresight' to invest in more tings as well as how she can increase her power status through wealth. the colours also represent her femininity as she is a powerful woman in this world through her broad ideas.
